Tip and Software #9

I do not know much about computers and some short cuts that you can use, but one I always use is Ctrl 2 which double spaces your essay or whatever your writing in Microsoft. The software I would like to know about is the Smart Board because as a teacher I might will eventually be using it a lot in the future.


Ctrl + F- Find
Ctrl + S- To save your documents.
Ctrl + P- Print
Ctrl + R- Right Align
Ctrl + C- Copy
Ctrl + Z- Undo
Ctrl Alt Delete- When your computer freezes up.
Ctrl + 2- double space
Ctrl + 1- single space
Alt + Tab- switches between open programs.
transferbigfiles.com - You can send files that are to big to regularly email. up to 2gb
Ctrl + tab- Opens up a new page.
Ctrl + V - Paste
Ctrl + B - Bolds Words
Ctrl + W - Closes tabs
Ctrl + L - Left Align
Ctrl + E - Center
Ctrl + A- select all
Ctrl + I - Italicizes letters
Password - Use letter, numbers, capital letters and special symbols for it to be harder to hack.

High School Sports

I.       Softball

Softball started in 1887.  Softball is a girls sport, there is fast and slow pitch softball. Some people think that softball is just like baseball in every way but it is not. Softball uses bigger balls, and bigger bats and gloves. The distance between the bases are also shorter for softball, and the infield and outfield is a shorter distance. There is no difference in high school softball than college softball.

II.     Soccer

Soccer started in the US in 1913, it was not as popular in American as in Europe. In high school soccer the 2 halfs are 40 minutes long, and in college the 2 halfs are 45 minutes long. Soccers main rule is do not touch the ball with your hands. There are no times outs like there is in every other sport and there is an off sides rule.

Baseball started in 1860s. It is commonly refered to as Americas sport. In baseball you can play up to 4 games a week, it is not as physical or tiring on your body as other sports can be, and since the pitcher throws the rotation of his arm he can throw over 100+ pitches  a game.

IV.    Football

High school football dates back to the 19th century, and even though you might think that high school ball is just like college there are several different rules and regulations.High school football only has 12 minutes quarters while college has 15 minute quarters. The kickoff takes place on the 40 yard line instead of the 35 in college. Pass interference by the defense in a 15 yard penalty but in college the place it at the spot of foul.

High school basketball started in 1891. In the 19th century basketball began to grow rapidly. It became an interscholastic sport due to the people wanted to play and the modest equipment. In high school basket ball the court is 84' feet long by 50' feet wide, while in college the court is 94' feet long and 50' feet wide.
